Need Beam size to Span 35Ft Steel or Wood Laminate?

I’m doing some preliminary planning on a building a house on a lot I just bought. It’s an open perfect rectangular 70×30 floor plan 1 story home with a basement. I will be using an engineer later but I’m just trying to figure out if my basic plan is feasable. I really only want 1 load bearing wall in the house right in the middle of the 70 ft. I was thinking to run 2 large Beams (35ft each) down the center of the 70 ft Length of the house to be supported on each end and in the middle and then run 15ft joists from that beam to the sides of the house.
So, this would be possible.. If so, would what hieght of the beam would that work out to? Trying to figure out how much hieght I would need to add to the base and main level.

Any thought on beam hieght with Wood laminte vs. steel..??
Also, on cost price with wood Vs. Steel?

Thanks

The house is in Maryland.

I am building patio and cover and want to use steel. Where can I find proper sizing for steel vs wood beams?

I am building a patio and cover. The cover will be bolted to the house and extend about 12-14 feet out. Also it will be 14-16′ wide. I want to use steel two steel posts and one steel cross member at the far end to minimize the size of these support pieces. Where can I find engineering / structural details about the proper size of beams / posts to use? Thanks.

What are the steps in erecting a steel building?

I have to write the methodology for the making or a steel building I designed.
I am really bad at engineering and I just don’t know what the steps are.
I know you have to:
clear the site
dig a whole
pour the backfill
erect the formwork
erect the colums
join the beams
assemble the precast floor units
x 5 floors
do the roof

If anyone can help me even a little bit it would be a brilliant help because I am struggling loads.

Thank you
