My property has a site where a garage was located. It was constructed of cement blocks with a 7′ high ceiling and wood truss and shingle roof. The foundation and cement floor is still good. I’m wondering what all the advantages – disadvantages are of rebuilding using cement blocks or steel construction including costs, resale value and time to construct. Building measures 26′ by 90′ and I would build possibly 12′ to 16′ high.
has anyone built/dug their own pool, or known anyone who has built/dug, with one of those pool kits? was it worth it, I would hire out most of the work. was it worth it? did it work? were the instructions ok? would you do it again? where did you order it from? and did you go with the polimer or steel sides? why which is better?

i need a new bumper that can hold a winch and built for off road but cant find anyone that will do the work. i need someone whose a certified fabricator that can bend steel, weld and the works.

I am looking at building an indoor basketball court and was looking for pricing on dome buildings apposed to brick and steel. If anyone knows how much the dome buildings cost please let me know or let me know where I can find that information.

We have several components of a machine we’re building that need to be strong (they are currently steel), but need to be much lighter.
We’re considering chromoly for these, but we want to be able to quickly compare what this will cost us and we’d like some quick "rules of thumb" when calculating equivilant chromoly materials. For example, what thickness of chromoly sheeting would compare with 1/8 inch steel? Or what thickness chromoly tube would we need to order to give comparable strength to 1/2 inch schedule 40 steel?
Any help or conversion websites would be appreciated.
