I’m building it for some light gaming and other practical uses for school and what not.
these are my current components, my budget is around 550 for the desktop itself.
Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz 240-pin Desktop Memory
(already bought)
HIS H687FN1GD Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
BIOSTAR TZ68A+ LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus RS-550-PCAR-E3 550W ATX12V V2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply
COOLER MASTER Elite 430 RC-430-KWN1 Black Steel / Plastic Computer Case
And I still need to get a HD, probably 1TB waiting for prices to drop for Black Friday.
What do you think of this current set-up and is it good enough or would I do better with more power?
Also, do I need a second fan for my case? This one only comes with 1.
Thank you!
Oh, and my CPU is the i5 2500K
doesnt look like you have included the processor their i would suggest intel core i5 2500k, and yeah everything else seems to be just fine
I’m bored and don’t know anything bout computers so PENIS!!!!!
I’m pretty sure you’re going to need a CPU!
Um, you forgot the most important thing: A processor.
The first thing you listed is RAM.
Second is graphics card.
Third is a motherboard.
Fourth is power supply.
And then a case.
Not anywhere do you mention a processor. So unless you list it, I can’t help you.
Oh, and you need a DVD drive (For OS installation)
I think you’ll be fine as far as power goes, as that seems like a pretty powerful computer. As for the fan, I don’t know much about that, but you may want to add a second just in case to prevent any overheating problems.
Did you forget the processor? Otherwise, this looks great.
