Metal Steel Buildings
Im trying to design a 5 story steel frame building for a project at school and I am using SAP 2000 v.11 to help me with the steel design. And SAP seems to prefer a W14×311 for all my beams, columns, braces and secondary beams. I need help!
I recently saw ghost rider. In the movie he lives in his workshop. I build bikes and would love to buy one of those steel garage kits to live in. I dont need a traditional home. More of an artists studio is what I want. Can someone just buy land and build something like this to live in?
At what height of building we can do lapping or rainforcement steel?
my building floor to floor hight is 9′-4" and coloun rod is of number 8-20 dia and 2-16 dia + 4-20 dia !!!!!! at what height of building do i have to give lapping and how much can i lapp to save my steel.
does anyone know any website that are for building a home inside a steel building i have seen where some people will make a home at the back of the building and use the front for cars or airplanes i dont really need that much space for living but id like alot of space for cars what is the cheapest steel structure out there?
I live in Kansas and when I hire a building erector it is by the square foot for labor only… This is for a basic 40 x 100 foot steel building with 16 foot side walls. What do you pay per square foot for erection only??

What is the best type of foundation for a steel building (30′x40′) on clay, in an area that gets 45" rainfall annually? (East Texas, red clay) Please note, this steel building probably won’t weigh as much as a wood house. Steelmaster arch style.

well my father has a shop and he wishes to move. so a steel building with those dimensions has been offered to him but they dont know if its too expensive.
